Planning trips are never easy, especially if they involve a lot of
people. With "Spring Break" fast approaching, ideas for short
getaways with the family or friends can become quite hectic.
Camping and hiking are fun
events that can be done during the break. Usually a well received suggestion,
camping can be either for a short duration or a long duration. Before planning
and booking it is best to understand the types of people who are in your family
or friend group as everyone has different tolerances to camping.
Below are some ideas to get you started, that can help ease this
annoying process if camping and hiking interests you.
For those who do not mind traveling, Kelowna has many campsites
that would be suitable for a group or a pair of people. One of my favorite
location to go to in spring and summer, Kelowna has many activities to do even
though it is considered a small city.
A campsite I suggest for RV or trailers is the Heartland Family
Campground. I suggest a short stay here and also for experienced campers. When
I went to this campsite I had no issues but I have heard some horror stories
about this ground so it is best to proceed at own risk.
My next campsite is for those who need something to do during
their stay. The Willow Creek Family Campground is again for those who experienced
campers (such that they do not need to shower, etc). This campgrounds main
highlight is that it is close to a shopping center and beach for those who wish
to have activities to do.
Though these are described above there are many other campsites
that are used, just make sure you know what you want.
