Easter Egg Hunt!

Love nature?

Enjoy finding random things?

How about a good ol' fashioned EASTER EGG HUNT!?

There are TONS of options available when it comes to choosing an activity regarding Easter. With such a diverse pool of cultures within British Columbia comes a plethora of choices to select from.

If you've got your own transportation, the selection process only increases but with that it adds more opportunity to visit places that may have otherwise never been found before.

Whonnock Lake is about a 10 minute drive away from Maple Ridge, BC. To get there depends on where you're coming from but if you can find your way to Maple Ridge, you can find your way to Whonnock Lake; once you're in Maple Ridge, the path to this memorable place begins on Dewdney Trunk Road. Once you reach this main road of Ridge, it's easiest to GPS "Whonnock Lake" and follow the directions there. If you're out of luck here, try to memorize the route when you have wifi!
In simplest form is the following:

  • Head down Dewdney Trunk Road until you reach 272nd Street and take a right turn
  • Follow and turn left on 112 Avenue
  • Left turn on 276th Street and follow the road to the lake.

With pocketed areas of cell phone reception available, its an ideal location to escape the daily grind of our lives to enjoy the simplicity of life. Hiking trails everywhere, kayak rentals available, a specialized dog area and a large beach for the kids to play, the location offers a little something for everyone.

BUT!

This weekend has a little extra fun...

Whether you have kids or are just a big kid yourself, Whonnock Lake is hosting its very own Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday April 1st, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM. Having not participated in the hunt ourselves, one can only speculate it should be a fun-filled few hours of spending time deep within the wooded areas of our beautiful province.

If you're interested in joining along, there is a phone number to call prior to attendance and can be found via this link.

Happy Hunting!
